What is Berberine?
Berberine is an alkaloid found in the roots, stems, and bark of various plants. Berberine activates an enzyme called AMPK, which helps regulate metabolism and increase NAD+ levels. In human studies, Berberine has been found to improve insulin sensitivity, help maintain healthy weight and reduce levels of C-reactive protein, a marker of inflammation.

Who can benefit from Berberine?
Berberine is ideal for individuals looking to naturally enhance their metabolism and manage weight effectively.

Real Results

Berberine mimics the effects of exercise and diet changes by influencing the body's metabolic processes.

Berberine has been shown to activate enzymes that increase fat burning and improve insulin sensitivity, leading to better glucose metabolism and reduced blood sugar levels.

What's The Science On Berberine?

Natural support for your metabolism.

Berberine is a natural compound found in several plants, such as barberry, goldenseal, and Oregon grape, and is renowned for its extensive range of health benefits.

It's active in numerous biochemical pathways within the body, particularly known for its potent effects on improving metabolic health. Berberine activates an enzyme called AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), often referred to as a "metabolic master switch," which plays a crucial role in regulating metabolism.

Studies have consistently shown that berberine can significantly reduce blood sugar levels in individuals with type 2 diabetes, akin to some diabetes medications. Furthermore, it has been found to help lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels, reduce blood pressure, and enhance weight loss efforts, addressing key risk factors for cardiovascular disease.

Marie

I have been taking these capsules for a short time, so not sure how well it's working. However, I haven't experienced any adverse effects.

Hey Marie,

Regarding NMN, it's important to note that its effects can vary from person to person due to differences in metabolism. Some individuals may notice the effects more quickly than others.

When it comes to dosage and timing, consider the following:

If you're between 40 and 60 years old, starting with 500mg (2 capsules) is recommended. It's advisable not to exceed 750mg (3 capsules) per day.

For those over 60, it's suggested to take at least 750mg (3 capsules) daily, up to a maximum of 1,000mg (4 capsules).

If you're already taking NMN based on your age but are not experiencing the desired effects, it could be attributed to the MTHFR gene mutation or sensitivity to niacin. In such cases, starting with a lower dose and considering substances like TMG or B vitamins, which support methylation, may be beneficial.

Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions or concerns.

Cheers,
Michael
