About AgeMate Products
Everything you need to know about NMN, Resveratrol, TMG and the Daily Longevity Blend.
What actually is NMN?
NMN, or Nicotinamide Mononucleotide, is a derivative of niacin (vitamin B3) and a precursor to a molecule called NAD+. Simply put, it's a natural supplement that boost the NAD+ levels of your cells.
NAD+ is a molecule that exists in every living cell, and it's critical to your cells production of energy. As we get older, our NAD+ levels decline. Supplementing and boosting NAD+ can help us generate more energy, and help our cells function as they did when they were younger.
NMN has recently been popularised by the Australian Harvard professor and longevity thought-leader, David Sinclair.
What are the benefits of taking NMN?
NMN is a supplement that has been gaining popularity in recent years due to its potential health benefits.
NMN stands for nicotinamide mononucleotide, and it is a precursor to nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD). NAD is an important coenzyme that plays a role in energy production, cell repair, and gene expression. levels of NAD decline with age, and this has been linked to age-related diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.
Some studies have shown that NMN supplementation can increase NAD levels, which may in turn help to improve cognitive function and delay the onset of age-related diseases. However, more research is needed to confirm these potential benefits.
For now, NMN remains a promising supplement for those looking to support their health as they age.
Where is your NMN made?
All of AgeMate's products are manufactured and packaged in China, developed in Australia, and third-party tested by laboritories in the USA.
In fact, all NMN that you see on the market is produced in China. Even if they say 'Made in Australia', they are only referring to the end packaging of the product, and not the manufacturing of the ingredients. Currently, the TGA does not permit the manufacturing and sale of NMN from within Australia, so any company claiming to have Australia-made products is doing so illegally. The TGA does however allow Australian consumers to purchase and consumer these supplements from overseas.
For this reason, all of AgeMate's supply chain, including our shipping warehouse, is based in Hong Kong. We ship every order daily with Australia Post, arriving in 5-7 days with express options available.
Is NMN natural or synthetic?
All NMN on the market, including ours, is synthetically produced.
Naturally-derived NMN is very unstable, prohibitively expensive and has a short expiration date (under 30 days). With synthetic NMN, we can more accurately control the purity and the life span is a minimum 12 months.
There is no negative effect physiologically from taking synthetic NMN compared to natural.
Is NMN Vegan, GMO free, and free of nasties?
Yes, yes and yes. Our NMN is vegan, GMO-free, and does not contain anything other than pure NMN.
Which foods are natural sources of NMN?
Broccoli, avocados and almonds are foods that naturally contain NMN, albeit in small quantities.
500mg of pure NMN is the equivalent of taking 25kg of broccoli.
Is your NMN tested for purity?
Yes. We test every batch of NMN, and all AgeMate products for purity, before they're released to customers. We also share the certificate of analysis on every product page. All AgeMate NMN demonstrates purity in excess of 99%, and is free of heavy metals.
It has also been stability tested through a 30 day test to ensure our product remain stable even in 40C temperatures. We didn't find any significant degradation in the product.
Are there any side-effects to taking NMN?
NMN is a form of vitamin B3 that is commonly found in green vegetables, legumes, and meat. While it is considered safe for most people, there are some potential side effects that you should be aware of.
In some very rare cases NMN can cause headaches, dizziness, and an upset stomach in some people. NMN may interact with certain medications that we are currently unaware of, so if you are taking any prescription drugs, it is important to speak to your doctor before taking NMN.
How long until I start seeing results?
Everyone metabolises NMN differently, so some people may notice effects more quickly than others.
Typically though, below is a good timeline of benefits you may experience:
Day 1-15: Improved energy, memory and cognition.
Day 15-60: Accelerated weight loss and improved insulin sensitivity.
Day 60-180: Marked reduction in biological age.
What is the difference between NMN and regular B3?
NMN is a derivative of B3 (NR) and is one step further down the pathway to produce NAD+.
NMN has also shown more impressive effects in mouse models (improved vascular health, longer lifespan, less arterial damage etc, which NR did not).
Further, new trials for NMN in humans have shown it to have a positive effect on areas like insulin sensitivity in pre-diabetic patients.
We have a very informative blog on our website, if you’re keen to learn more.
What does NMN taste like?
Neutral with a very slight hint of sourness like L-carnitine or vitamin C.
Is NMN like collagen? Can it help with hair/skin/nails?
Think of NMN like the ying to collagen’s yang.
Collagen is more beneficial for external factors like skin elasticity whilst NMN benefits focus around internal factors like boosting metabolism, improving DNA repair, improving heart health, and boosting muscle function as we age
Can NMN help with diabetes & heart health?
A recent study showed NMN to improve insulin sensitivity in pre-diabetic patients over 55. NMN is also known for improving heart health.
Is NMN better than NR?
You might hear NR being advertised as a NAD+ booster. Whilst effective, latest research indicates NMN as the more effective molecule to boost NAD+.
There are three main reasons why we prefer NMN over NR:
1. NMN is more stable in the bloodstream.
2. NMN is one step further down the NAD pathway. That means NMN is more easily converted in NAD+ than NR.
3. Leading longevity scientists, like David Sinclair, take NMN, not NR
Finally, more research and funding is focused on NMN as a NAD+ booster, not NR, with the goal to treat age-related diseases.
What are your capsules made from?
Our capsule material is hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC). It is derived from wood pulp, vegan, clear, tasteless, and non-irritating.
We do not use carrageenan.

How to Use Agemate Products
Here's our recommended serving information for AgeMate products.
How much NMN should I take?
If you're under 60, the recommended dosage is 500-750mg daily.
If you're over 60, you can take 750-1,000mg daily.
How do I take NMN sublingually?
Sublingual refers to letting the the supplement dissolve under the tongue, so that it can be absorbed directly into the bloodstream for maximum efficacy.
To take sublingually, place a scoop of the powder on top of the tongue. This is instead of trying to place directly under the tongue, which can be finicky!
Then use your tongue to move the powder underneath and let the powder remain there for 4-5 minutes whilst it dissolves. It might not dissolve fully, so after 5 min, simply wash it down with water.
If I am taking capsules, do I take both together or separately?
For optimal results, take 2 x 250mg capsule in the morning with breakfast.
Can I take your products with our current medication?
Most likely, yes. NMN has no known reactions with medications. That said, as always, consult your doctor before commencing.
Can I mix your products in a smoothie?
Yes, absolutely! We recommend that the smoothie is cold, so that it doesn't disturb the efficacy of the ingredients.
Can I mix NMN powder with hot drinks or in cooked food?
High temperatures can denature NMN, reducing its effectiveness, which is why we do not recommended mixing with hot drinks or cooking with food.
Can I take your products while breastfeeding?
First and foremost, it's always best to consult your doctor before commencing any new supplement whilst breastfeeding and it's always best to err on the side of caution. For that reason, we recommend not taking NMN whilst pregnant or breastfeeding.
That said, when taken at the right doses (under 1,000mg daily), it is unlikely that NMN will cause any adverse effects to your or bub as it is stimulating the production of NAD+, something that the body produces naturally anyway.
There have also been studies using mice demonstrating the that the fetus is healthier after NAD+ supplementation. You can read about that here.
